1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or otherwise accessing ARACHNE (“Service”, “we”, “us”, “our”) you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

2. Service Description

ARACHNE is a web application that retrieves publicly available Ethereum transaction data from the Etherscan API and presents it as an interactive graph. The Service is a display and analysis tool only. We do not operate a blockchain node, hold custody of any digital assets, or provide financial, legal, or investment advice of any kind.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By registering you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete. Accounts may not be created or used on behalf of any person or entity subject to applicable sanctions or export control laws.

4. Accounts & Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@arachne.app if you suspect unauthorised access. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that show signs of compromise or misuse.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• ▸Facilitate or support money laundering, tax evasion, sanctions evasion, or any other illegal activity.
• ▸Harass, stalk, or dox individuals based on on-chain data.
• ▸Attempt to circumvent plan limits, rate limits, or access controls.
• ▸Reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the Service beyond normal API usage.
• ▸Introduce malware, conduct denial-of-service attacks, or otherwise disrupt the Service.
• ▸Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute data or outputs without our written permission.

Violation of this section may result in immediate account termination and, where applicable, referral to relevant authorities.

6. Subscriptions & Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before renewal. You may cancel at any time from your profile; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Downgrading does not delete your data.

We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 14 days’ notice. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

7. Refund Policy

If you have not yet used the Service in the current billing period, you may contact us at support@arachne.app within 48 hours of a charge to request a refund, which we may grant at our sole discretion. Free trial periods are not eligible for refunds.

Refunds are not provided for changes in plan tier, unused trace credits, or subscription periods where the account was suspended for policy violations.

8. Blockchain Data Disclaimer

All on-chain data is retrieved from publicly available sources. We make no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data displayed. Blockchain data is immutable and controlled by decentralised networks entirely outside our influence. Mixer or risk flagging is performed heuristically against a known list of addresses and should not be treated as a definitive legal or financial determination.

Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, legal, tax, or investment advice. You are solely responsible for any decisions made based on information obtained through the Service.

9. Intellectual Property

All software, design, and content comprising the ARACHNE platform is the exclusive property of ARACHNE and its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose during an active subscription. No other rights are granted.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile page. We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if you breach these Terms, if continued operation poses a legal or security risk, or if the Service is discontinued. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 7, 8, 11, and 12 survive termination.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ARACHNE and its officers, employees, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the three months preceding the claim.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
